2025 Predictions

Guaranteed to be 100% accurate (guarantee not real)

Results and stats count beginning today. The 2025 season has arrived.

So, it seems like a prudent time to put some predictions down that will, of course, prove completely accurate and 100% true when the season concludes in seven months.

NL East

Let’s start with the NL East, which could prove to be one of the deepest divisions in the league with the Phillies, Braves, and Mets all looking to contend. The Nationals could surprise some, but likely aren’t quite ready to tackle the giants in their own division just yet unless there are some major steps forward from their pitching staff.

  2. Braves

  3. Mets

  4. Nationals

  5. Marlins

NL Central

This feels like it could be an easy path for the Cubs, but things never prove easy in the end. The Brewers have a roster talented enough to challenge them and if their pitching staff can remain healthy so, too, could the Reds. The Pirates should be ready to surprise, too, but still seem like they’re a player or two short. The Cardinals have talent but no direction and seem like they’ll just coast through the season.

  1. Cubs

  2. Reds

  3. Brewers

  4. Pirates

  5. Cardinals

NL West

It’s the Dodgers division to lose still and the Padres no longer look like the biggest threat to challenge them after the Diamondbacks additions of Corbin Burnes and Josh Naylor. The Giants could be a factor if they can keep healthy and find some pitching behind Logan Webb.

  1. Dodgers

  2. D-backs

  3. Padres

  4. Giants

  5. Rockies

NL Playoffs

The Phillies, Cubs, and Dodgers win their divisions. The Braves, Mets, and D-backs nab the Wild Card spots.

AL East

Another division that could prove top-heavy. The Orioles, Red Sox, and Yankees could all end up on top in the end depending on how things play out and if players remain healthy. The Rays should be in the mix, too, but who knows how playing their home games in Tampa might impact them.

  1. Red Sox

  2. Orioles

  3. Yankees

  4. Rays

  5. Blue Jays

AL Central

An argument could be made to pick any team in the division outside of Chicago. None of the AL Central clubs made significant moves in the offseason but there are reasons to be intrigued by the Royals, Tigers, and Guardians.

  1. Guardians

  2. Royals

  3. Tigers

  4. Twins

  5. White Sox

AL West

The division might be the Rangers to lose. The A’s are a trendy pick to surprise but it likely won’t be enough to leapfrog everyone in the division yet.

  1. Rangers

  2. Astros

  3. A’s

  4. Mariners

  5. Angels

AL Playoffs

The Red Sox, Guardians, and Rangers win their divisions. The Royals, Yankees, and Orioles take the Wild Cards.
